His proven skills, abilities, and passions of being a genuine Coastkeeper are evident in his efforts of protecting the natural resources in the Bay of La Paz through coalition building, investigation, public education, and litigation. As a dedicated community servant, dependable listener and resolute leader, he is a consistent voice on the community.

TIM MEANS
Tim started his career leading groups through the Grand Canyon on the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River and founded Baja Expeditions in 1974. To say he has a passion for the preservation and natural wonders of Baja is understatement. In addition to running what has become the leading eco-adventure company in Baja, he is also actively involved with philanthropists, NGOs and various agencies in Mexico to preserve the natural environment of the Peninsula.
CHRIS PESENTI
Co-director of Pro Peninsula, a San Diego based nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities on the Baja California peninsula to preserve their natural environment. www.propeninsula.org. Chris holds a Master's degree in Pacific International Affairs from UCSD's Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies where he studied non profit management and international environmental policy. In addition to his work in the U.S., Chris has worked throughout Latin America in both the public and private sectors, and speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese.
Chris first fell in love with Baja California as a teenager and since then has continued his ties to the Peninsula.
